If you know me at all, you probably know everything about me already. But honestly, if you want to know more about me, check out my other endeavors including this, this, this, and this or you could read my every waking thought on here. If that still doesn’t satisfy your curiosity, you could always visit this incredibly helpful site. What you actually probably want to know is why this particular site exists, since it would seem that up to this point I’ve gone above and beyond to share every ounce of personal information with anyone who will hear/read it. The idea for this site came when I realized how much cursing and dumb-idea-venting I was doing on my portfolio site’s blog, and while I would like to think that the entire world has ears equipped for such things, perhaps I need an entirely different environment to talk about personal topics, a place to rant and rave—basically a dolled up live-journal-esque repository for things I like, dislike, or feel ambivalent toward. It will be both a diary of the things I do (translation: where I eat and drink) and an excuse to do some creative writing.
The name from the site is a bit silly, but fitting. Being a young designer/illustrator that lives and works in one of the hipster epicenters, uses a bicycle as a primary form of transportation, and wears skinny jeans and american apparel t’s, there’s nothing to do but embrace the title. I do work for a living unlike some of my trust-funded peers, but none-the-less, I am a woman of my time and place, which happens to align with to one of the more easily mocked social species in recent history.
Anyway, virtual high-five, happy reading, and please keep the jabs above the waist, I’m not nearly as unapologetically egocentric as this bio might convey.
